Use your Visa Debit card like an ATM card to make deposits or withdraw cash or use it like a check to make purchases wherever Visa Debit is accepted.

Your purchase is automatically deducted from your checking account...just as if you'd written a check.
All transactions are deducted and listed on your monthly checking account statement.
It's convenient in town or when you travel - at Visa locations worldwide.
An ATM/Debit card is available to qualified applicants.

If you have a savings account only with Houghton State Bank you may apply for a Visa ATM card to deposit funds, withdraw cash and to make balance inquiries.
At many locations you can perform transactions anytime you like around the clock.
You can use your Visa ATM card all over the world. Look for the familiar sign of Visa, Plus, or Circle One. If you're not sure that a machine will accept your card, the best thing to do is go ahead and try it. Chances are, it will work.
An ATM card is available to qualified applicants. Once you get in the habit of using your Visa ATM card, you'll want to carry your card with you, everywhere you go!

You will receive your debit card in the mail approximately one week after approval.
You can choose your PIN code when you activate your card from your home phone number.
If your card is lost or stolen, you may call Houghton State Bank during business hours at 712-623-4823.
After Hours Report Lost or Stolen ATM/Debit cards to 800-395-0637.
IMPORTANT: You must activate your new Visa Debit Card at 888-286-9550 and choose a PIN code before you can use it.
Sign the back of your card as soon as you receive. This helps to protect you from fraudulent use of your card.
